Turboden's technology is installed mainly along with large biomass boilers and works with the heat at high temperatures. As well as heat in form of hot water from the hydraulic circuit of the engine must be cooled also cold side of Turboden must be cooled down. This cooling consumes electricity and results a reduction in the supply of electricity to the grid or for own consumption.
E-Rational unit is installed on the existing cooling circuit, that remains only as an emergency, and from previously frustrated heat in the coolers produces electricity. This will cut off electricity consumption of current coolers and increase efficiency of the entire power plant.
The E-Rational ORC transforms between 6–18% of low-temperature thermal energy, depending on the condensing temperature, to electricity.
