In operation of these technologies are heat losses unavoiable. 
Industrial processes and applications that produce waste heat in the form of steam, steam condensate, hot water or thermal oil such as incinerators, power plants, heating plants, chemical plants, turbines, etc. can not further use this waste heat. Technology E-Rational convert this heat into electricity or compressed air, thus increasing the efficiency of existing application.

Waste heat in the form of flue gas is mostly carried away into the atmosphere through the chimney. By converting this waste heat a stream of hot water by using heat exchangers, E-Rational converts this heat into electricity or compressed air, thus increasing the efficiency of existing production.

Another key benefit of the technology E-Rational is energy savings  at the existing cooling technology, that will be decreased after installation E-Rational unit or completely shut down.

In most fuel burning heating systems, waste heat is greatest loss of energy in the process, often greater than all other losses combined.

The E-Rational ORC transforms between 6–18% of low-temperature thermal energy, depending on the condensing temperature, to electricity.
